Rest in peace Grandma.
To have spent yesterday with you, means everything.
I’m at a loss for words today. Or more, I’ve wasted all my energy on the 2,500 words spent working through a neglected assignment before 11:59pm. I guess that is one of the many reasons I’ve missed blog posting by an hour or so today. I won’t beat myself up about it, lol.
I’m trying to find something to write about. But I think it is okay to take today as a breather. Seventy-seven days will take it out of you. But I do not regret it at all. I urge you, reader, to log your thoughts, experiences and knowledge…
…Only positives have come from it, personally speaking. What’s more, I can look back on the work I’ve written as a timestamp in memories. After this upcoming exam, I’ll begin working on my own website. It will be my next project and likely my next Honā commitment.
The site will be simple in design, starting off only with a blogging section, and an about section. As time goes on, I may add a video/gallery section, YouTube channel links and other multimedia.
The approach will be tasteful minimalism. I really enjoy BitPost’s layout. It may follow something similar in design. In terms of the blog posts themselves, it will be different to the usual rambling you see here…
…Instead of daily writing (which I’ll try and stick with on BitPost), articles will be submitted either weekly or bi-weeky. I will aim to work daily on an article throughout the week, then spend the final day editing and formatting. I may even go as far as to hire my freelancing friend as a proof-reader/editor.
I want this website to be a true proof of work accomplishment. Of course, I mustn’t let perfectionism interfere as it has with many past projects. In fact, from daily writing, I reckon my perfectionist annoyances have subsided greatly.
I think the difference in daily blogs to weekly blogs will be substantial. I have never embarked on such a project, and I’m quite excited. Furthermore, I’m grateful to have the entire Summer to experiment and execute my vision!
Anyway, it has been a hell of a week. I need a big weekend of rest after all this. I love you Grandma, with all my heart.
Here’s a tune.
