How ya’ going? Along with starting the Bitpost challenge this month, I’ve also challenged myself to a month of a refreshed personal diet. My goal has been to cut out alcohol completely, and drastically cut down on sugar & processed foods.
So far, I’ve been doing great! I can feel a genuine change in my physical health as my body begins to thank me for giving it a much-needed break from toxins. I’ve set the bar quite low as to not be demotivated, but I’m willing to become a little stricter.
As such, my day-to-day currently consist of:
- Fatty fish (Salmon & Tuna)
- Lots of green veggies and carrots
- Cape seed rye breads with deli meats and spinach
- Juice and fruits to nip the sugar cravings
- A tremendous amount of water
This way, I don’t really have to think about much when it comes to sticking with the plan. It has been working a charm for the most part, so far. I’ve seen increased energy, less inflammation and brain-fog (likely thanks to cessation of booze). My mental health and wellbeing have certainly gained benefit too.
However, there is one issue that comes up… Sugar cravings! They usually come after 6pm or so. I’d love some recommendations and substitutes to quash these cravings. I’ve attempted by snacking on mandarins to no avail. Admittedly, I have succumbed on a couple of days to a chocolate bar or two.
I have never been one to watch my eating habits or set a diet, but I feel it necessary as I get older. If you have any input or advice, please reach out to me!
On an unrelated sidenote, TSC gains have been appealing! I can’t recall a time where the energy surrounding BSV has reached this level. As someone mentioned on Twitter, you can feel the pent-up demand for DeFi on BSV. As per my previous post, still very bullish (but cautious, taking profits).
